![]() I used purple tape to mask off the areas and blended chipped sapphire and candied apple distress oxide ink over the different areas. I dried it with my heat gun and then placed the stencil back over the panel. My next card went in a little different direction! □ I started by placing the Nautical Stripes stencil over kraft cardstock and blended unicorn white pigment ink over the stencil. Finally I added nuvo crystal and jewel drops to add little pops of color! Next I die-cut the Thanks from black and white cardstock, layered it together and adhered it with foam mounting tape. Then I splattered it with watered down white gouache and let it dry. Then I dried the panel and spritzed it with shimmer spray. I splattered the panel with water again and blotted off the excess. ![]() Then I buffed the excess ink off the embossed areas with a swiffer cloth to reveal the pretty colors beneath. Next I blended black soot distress oxide ink lightly over the bottom of the panel allowing some of the colors to peek through. Once it was totally dry I stamped the Wildflowers onto the bottom of the panel and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. I spritzed it with water and blotted off the excess. ![]() I’ll have more to share this week but today I’m kicking it off with two very different cards!įirst up is this card featuring the gorgeous Wildflower set! I actually will have a video up on the Simon Says Stamp blog with a similar take on this technique in a few days but for today, words will have to do! □ To start I blended cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, shaded lilac, and wilted violet distress oxide inks onto a piece of strathmore bristol cardstock.
